Doing something new to break you out of your daily routine can provide the adventure that you need. Life can sometimes become a daily grind. It is important to take mini adventures and go do something. Go explore a new area of town or go explore nature. Walk to the store instead of driving. It is the little things you can do to break up the monotony. Exploring is a lot of fun and breaking out of your routine is refreshing. It breaks you away from your daily responsibilities and makes you feel more connected to where you live. This Saturday I did a little exploring for myself.
Exploring by Finding the Adventure in Your Backyard
This past Saturday I did something I had not done before. I went to a local UConn football game. Before the game we even did some tailgating. It was nice to be able to do something different outside of my immediate town. Going to a sporting event is a great way to spend some time with friends. You get outside the routine of waking up and sticking around the house. Going to a game helps you get outside and enjoy the nice weather especially as summer is coming to an end.
These little explorations in your backyard can do a lot to break out of routines and monotony. I think it is really important to do something different at least once a week or even once a day. It helps break the mold and helps you live more free. I try to do this by eating something different or talking to a friend I haven’t talked to in a long time. It is the little adventures that bring freedom and fun to our lives. This applies to training as well. You should never be afraid to switch up your routine to make it more fun. If you aren’t enjoying training then you need to add more adventure and fun to it! Let me know what you do to explore in your backyard. Let me help you add more variety!
