In August 2017 I set out on an open-ended bicycle tour circumnavigating the US. This video blog highlights the seventeenth leg of my journey from Austin to Houston, Texas.

This was a special day ride 175 miles from Austin to Houston, Texas. With stopping the ride took over 13 hours! I averaged 15 mph and biked before sunrise to after sunset. It was an epic adventure. Join me as I finish out my exploring of Austin with Mount Bonell and a nature conservancy. From there, I leave Austin at 6 am to explore hill country to the east. After seeing the sunrise I fight hills and a crosswind to get over the 100-mile mark. From there it’s a flat voyage into Houston past farms and ranches. I meet up with the White Buffalo Bayou Trail to end my journey. Join me as I complete this epic journey!
